Becoming a Part of Your 9-months Journey

The pregnancy expedition can be filled with joy and challenges, and Dr. Himani understands the importance of being there for her patients every step of the way. One patient had undergone multiple failed IVF attempts before achieving a successful pregnancy with twins. However, as the pregnancy progressed to 26 weeks, complications arose.

The mother developed severe pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH), leading to high blood pressure. Additionally, her profile showed hematuria (blood in the urine) and conjugation profile issues, indicating a bleeding tendency. Dr. Himani and her team faced the difficult task of deciding who to prioritize: the mother's safety or the babies' lives. Given the history of failed IVF attempts, it was essential to safeguard the babies as well.

The situation became even more critical when the mother developed life-threatening Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation (DIC), where blood clotting mechanisms malfunction, resulting in excessive bleeding. Balancing the need to stop the bleeding and the need for an immediate delivery posed a significant challenge. With Dr. Himani's expertise and the collective efforts of the medical team, the babies were safely delivered via cesarean section.

The babies, an 800-gram male, and a 1-kilogram female, were born with neurological protection and received 24 hours of medication to ensure their well-being. The successful delivery brought immense joy to the team, and the babies' fervent cries were a testament to their health.

In another case involving IVF twins, complications emerged at 15 weeks of gestation. One of the babies lacked progress due to low amniotic fluid. Oligohydramnios can pose severe risks to the baby's development. Despite the challenges, Dr. Himani and her team saved the upper twin through careful monitoring, infection prevention measures, and antibiotics.

With continuous monitoring and appropriate interventions, the team delivered the baby in the 30th week of pregnancy. This case highlights the importance of close observation, infection control measures, and medical expertise in ensuring the best possible outcome for high-risk pregnancies.

Dr. Himani's dedication to her patients and ability to navigate complex situations demonstrates her commitment to providing exceptional obstetrics services and procedures. Her expertise, combined with the collaborative efforts of her team, brings hope and joy to families, even in the face of challenging circumstances.
